REPRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCE OF WEST AFRICAN DWARF SHEEP AND GOATS AT VILLAGE LEVEL IN OGUN STATE, NIGERIA

Reproductive performance of 20 pregnant ewes and does West African Dwarf breeds at village level in Ogun State, Nigeria were compare a study which lasted for 8 months. Litter size was 1.50 while that 1.85. the number males produced by two species out-numbered females. However, multiple birth higher goat sheep. Results weights body weight lambs kids 3 month age significantly different (P < 0.05). Lambs heavier with overall mean 2.00kg compared 1.48kg recorded kids. At monthes lamb 10.38kg kid 7.61kg. mortality 23.33% as against 10.81% Effective management system sheep goats before after will improve reproductive efficiency
